Registration & Payment Procedure
Online registration is NOT available for music lessons. Please call the Recreation Office to register for lessons: 435-4355.
Payment for music classes will be made on an ongoing basis, on the 1st of each month. In order to properly accommodate the music instructors, one month advance notice is necessary to cancel music lessons.
Piano Lessons
Instructor: Carol Michelson
All Ages
Tuesday & Thursday afternoons:
Belvedere Community Center, Founders Room
$40 per 1/2 hour lesson, paid monthly on the 1st of each month
(No lessons on school holidays)
There will be a materials fee reimburseable to the instructor for music books and other teaching resources. There will also be a recital at the end of the school year. Participation is optional and the fee is $25.

Violin Lessons

Grades: 1 - 5
Wednesday and Friday afternoons
Location: Bel Aire School, Room M7
Fee: $35 per 1/2 hour lesson/paid monthly

Guitar Lessons
Instructor: Gay Brodsky
Ages: 4 - 10
Has your child expressed an interest in playing the guitar? Here's an opportunity to try it out in a child friendly environment. Teacher Gay, who has taught "Tot Music" for many years and has offered to expand her expertise in teaching your child to play the guitar. Together we will be on our way to learning basic chords, simple strumming and picking, some music theory (eg. rhythm, pitch, melody), and to play and sing our favorite songs. Questions? Rana Kangas-Kent is a provessional singer, dancer and acctress who performs in theatre and film. She was Alma Hix in the year's Mountain Play, "The Music Man". She also trained the first place winner of the Marin County Fair singing competition.
