Landmarks Art & Garden Center Classes
We are pleased to introduce our gardening & art programs for youth at the Landmarks Art and Garden Center. Located at 841 Tiburon Blvd., the Art & Garden Center boasts mature trees, shrubs and plants along with terraced, colorful flowerbeds and beautiful vista points; a perfect compliment to our programs! The program fees include all materials/supplies. Students should bring water, sunscreen and wear appropriate clothing for gardening/messy art projects.
No class on school holidays!
Earth, Wind, and Clay
Instructor: Jamie Aberegg Grades: K-2
Learn to shape, paint and glaze! Join us as we create nature and garden themed ceramic pieces. We will take our inspiration from the various gardens at the center. In addition, we will create mobiles, kites & weathervanes for your garden. Learn techniques and applications of shaping and sculpting clay to create garden themed works of art! Pieces will be glazed and fired. Fee includes all materials. Please wear clothes that can be soiled or bring a cover-up.
The instructor will pick up your child at Reed School afterschool and walk them to the Art & Garden Center. Please pick up your child at the Art & Garden Center at 4:00pm. Please note: This class will be cancelled in the event of rain.

LITTLE SPROUTS
Instructor: Jamie Bernales Ages: 4-5
Preschoolers love to garden! In this class, we will harness their natural curiosity about the world and encourage them to explore the garden environment. We’ll discover our garden through a bug’s eye level and learn about plants, flowers and animals. Each week, there will be garden discovery activities like bug detectives and creating habitats, and then we’ll wrap up class by visiting the wishing circle. Through games, art, songs and stories we’ll uncover the joy of gardening! Please bring a snack and dress for mess.

THE SCIENCE OF NATURE
Instructor: Jamie Bernales Grade: Kindergarten
Nature is our classroom as we explore and discover the everyday miracles in our own backyards! In this class, students will study the garden environment and participate in science experiments using natural elements. Learn about plants, animals, geology, weather and more! Please wear clothes that can get messy or bring a cover-up.
The instructor will pick up your child at Reed School afterschool and walk them to the art & garden center. Please pick up your child promptly at 2:30pm from the Art & Garden Center. Please note: This class may be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

NEW! SPRING ZING
Instructor: Jamie Bernales Grades: K-2
Get back to nature and experience all of the new growth in the garden! Spring is the time for planting and new beginnings in the soil. Zing into action and learn about bugs (pests too) with “bug patrol”. Learn the proper way to use tools such as a hand shovel, clippers and a cultivator. Study backyard animals, create a tea garden, expand our butterfly garden & create a spring to summer veggie plot. Join us for some garden fun & get your hands dirty!
